Did you know that Pink Shirt Day was started in 2007 by 2 students in Nova Scotia who bought and distributed 50 pink shirts after a 9th grade student was bullied for wearing a pink polo shirt on the first day of school. BC adopted the day in 2008, and New Zealand joined the force in 2009.

In 2024, according to the Workplace Bullying Institute, 32% of adults in the workforce had experience direct bullying and 72% of workers were aware of a bullying situation within the workplace. If children in our school districts can lead a force against bullying and harassment, then we can too!
